Jolly Old St Nick

Hi Guys

Why is it that just when you are getting on top of things that something goes up the spout and you have to start again.

Well that is what happened last week but then we got to the weekend and I went away and spent some quality time with some very dear friends.  Every year we have a Christmas weekend with secret santa, Christmas dinner and Christmas crafting.

One of the things we did this weekend was to alter a clock.  A clock that cost a pound or two turned into this

I used the 'Sparkly and Bright' set.  I stamped Santa in Cherry Cobbler and 'painted' over the red with tombow and then sprinkled red galaxy fine glitter over.  When this was dry I did the same for the trim on his hat, coat and beard to make them sparkly.    I stamped Rudolf in Chocolate Chip and sparkled his nose with red glitter too.

Now to match the clock made a card.  I did exactly the same for the card that I did with the clock and Santa.

Now those of you who know my hubby will know that he is not a crafter so imagine my surprise when he said he would like to do a clock.  He did his completely differently to the rest of us and his is below

Andy decided to use heat and stick and Dazzling Diamonds on Basic black card.
I hope you like and then until next time

Peace, Joy, Love...

Hi Guys

Well this week on Tuesday Taggers we were tasked to use Peace Joy or Love.  I used the word Joy (as have most of my teamies, go and take a look)

I have used the Stampin' Up Schoolbook Serif alphabet for the J and the Y and the O is the ornament from Stampin' Up! Contempo Christmas set, although you could use the ornament stamps from the Delightful Decorations stamp set.

I have stamped the letters and ornament in Real Red.  I have used paper from the Christmas Jingle scrappin' kit which is full of goodies, (papers, cardstock and cardstock stickers).  I have used Real Red, Old Olive and Very Vanilla cardstock to mat and layer.  I used a Stampin' Write marker in Basic Grey to doodle around the Very Vanilla cardstock.

In order to get the J, Ornament and Y placed correctly I used my Stamp-a-ma-Jig and a soft pencil line that I rubbed out afterwards.

You can embellish the further by using some of the Basic Rhinestones or Basic Pearls.

Don't forget if you want to order any of the items that I have used today you just need to email me at emmadaye@sky.com and your goodies will be delivered to your front door.

I hope you like this and until next time

Pure opulence

Hi Guys

Well what a busy week I have had.  Last weekend was Stampin' Up!'s European Convention and what a ball we had.  I will post some piccies of that later.

For now though I want to share the card I have done for Tuesday Taggers this week.  We were tasked to use gold, silver and purple so I have used Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White and then I used the shimmer paints.

I stamped with Rich Razzleberry onto whisper white card and then punched the baubles out with the ornament punch. I have tied gold elastic around the top of the ornaments and then 'hung' them on my card.  I have covered the join with some whisper white 1/4" grosgrain that I have dyed with Rich Razzleberry.  I have punched out the extra large oval punch in Whisper White and edged it with the Platinum shimmer paint, I also did this to the ornaments.

I stamped and embossed in gold the greeting and punched out using the modern label punch.  I have then punched two more of this shape in Rich Razzleberry and overlapped and stuck them together.  I placed my white one in the middle of them and then stuck them down with dimensionals in order for them to pop off the page.

For that final bit of bling I have added jewels in the form of the basic Rhinestones.

I hope you like

and until next time

A touch of the Orient

Hi Guys

Well it is Tuesday Taggers again and it is a taste of the Orient.  I have taken it in the colours that I have used.  I have used Very Vanilla, Real Red, Basic Black and gold embossing powder.

I have use the set Ornate Flowers.  I feel it has an oriental feel to it.  I have used gold embossing powder on the Real Red cardstock on the main card for the flower that you could see at the back of the card and the main focus have been embossed onto Basic Black cardstock.  I have matted all of the Real Red cardstock onto Basic Black cardstock and mounted all onto Very Vanilla.  I have added some Real Red Satin Ribbon to finish it off.

I hope you like and until next time
